    Bumper Sag Kit

Can anyone give me more information on a "bumper sag kit" I've seen mentioned here?

Will it work on the wife also?

A member used to make a kit, but I don't believe he does anymore as he is no longer on here. Have to make it yourself..I used aluminum "L" channel and some screw and locking nuts and some double sided tape up inside the rear cover lip from the under/backside

Any chance you may have taken some photos of the procedure? Thanks

The reason I'm inquiring about this is there seems to be some bumps protruding the top of the rear bumper and one in the top center of the front one.

I did not take pics, my fix is for the bottom bumper sag in the middle..There is a repair, if one is so inclined, that I believe Gary (boatmangc) wrote up years ago about the bulges etc on top of the cover at the corners. It's in the archives somewhere. I don't have time to search for it right now..Have to go to work

Zip ties for the win. Did the same on mine. Had body work done a year or so ago they had to remove the rear bumper cover. Body tech put zip tie back on where I had it! LOL

I'm glad this revived an old issue for some, but new to me and some others. I like to be proactive. The aluminum bracket fix looks like it will be the way I'll go.

Might try the zip tie fix on the wifey.

There was a time when I was going to try and come up with a fix. It was going to require removing the bumper and placing a plastic barrier inside the bumper and the back of the car then re-installing the bumper and injecting the closed cell foam into the empty space. That was the beginning of my idea anyway. Then I would like to have made a mold from that and make more ready to plug and play. Maybe someday when I get some spare money and re-retire.

Marauder bumpers don't look right with a bumper tuck IMO, there is a difference in them.

Does anyone know why the bumpers develop little bumps on top? I'm assuming the mounting surface underneath is not so smooth and the black gets hot from the sun causing the bumper to melt down around it.
