    Budget Brake Update

Not being able to achieve a good brake pedal finally got me motivated to fix the damn thing.
I ordered an ABS delete manifold but that hasn't even showed up yet.

While doing the IDS brake bleed, I remembered my buddy saying the reservoir 'may' have gone dry, but we bled the brakes a lot after that.

I ended up ordering speed bleeders

Napa has them too for $13.xx (listed under 2001 Corvette)

Turns out these fit the stock rear calipers perfectly as well.

After running a quart of fluid through the entire system, the brakes work absolutely awesome, and stop the car in a hurry.

Maybe now Ill drive the car a little. I haven't done a single car event besides Kentucky this year. I drove it to work once, other than that....nothing.

Not real happy with my pedal either. It was good for a while but now has softened up a little again, but not horrible.

    Ordered up 2 sets.

I did the speed bleeders the other day. Considerably better brake feel even after bleeding by myself and 2 different shops, the last shop did it with the ABS module opened. Speed bleeders FTW! Thanks Zack!

Worth their weight in gold. I'll never to anything but speed bleeders again.

All pertinent info is on Napa's website.
