    Exclamation Have the tables turned?

I have noticed in the past two years younger people tend to like and KNOW what these cars are more than those that are older. When the car was new, lots of middle aged and baby boomers knew what this car is. Now, it seems like people my age or younger know and appreciate the car, the older generation keeps walking by. Literally.

Is this a Chicago thing or did everything change?

I did get a complement from a retired Fire Fighter saying "That's one hell of a car." Today. It was nice. He didn't rant about a 20mph reverse parking job either. Cool guy.

Has anyone else noticed this generation turnover for appreciation of the Marauder?

Its because they aren't worth anything now a days. Marauders can be had for under $10k, so naturally kids will have more of them.

It's just a Grand Marquis with fancy drug money wheels and a cop chip.

    This.

There seems to be a decent generational spread, it tends to be middle aged and younger people notice my car, at least in this part of the globe. I think the affordability has a good bit to do with it. It allows "kids" that are into performance cars to get into the hobby/lifestyle/sickness/whatever without dropping a huge amount of dough. At least, that was the case for me. And I'd wanted one for years. There's a reason you don't see many people under 50-55 in Corvettes....

I doubt these will ever reach Del Slow or Civic status, they're too rare, the Charger and Camaro have taken a lot of "kids" out of the Ford market. Besides, all the ricers want Diesels now, at least until they figure out how expensive they are to maintain.

I'm 28, and when I attended MV Saturday, I think I was the youngest owner there. I got the car when I was 25 or 26, and yeah, I've always been a Panther fan and wanted the most muscled version for a long time. I got mine when my dad found one collecting dust at a corner lot in Indiana and offered him a steal price, at the time, of $8K and he accepted bc it had been there so long. So yeah, I'd say guys like me who like big cars and want more muscle will finally be able to buy into the market, and maybe the demographics of MM owners will change or already be changing.

I'm 27 and was 16 when the car came out. One of my friends and I were immediatly drawn to it. Since then, I've always dreamed of owning one and put it out of my mind thinking it was just a pipe dream. 5 years ago, I told a car dealer friend about how I've always loved the Marauder and he, sharing my interest in the car, had been on the lookout for one for me. We found a few over the years but all had at least one issue that prevented my from pulling the trigger. FINALLY, we located a black 2003 this past November with low miles and was well maintained. So I bought it and am SO excited to be an owner. But I have noticed that a lot of people my age recognize the car and comment on it. I've had older people actually track me down in the grocery store and tell me how much they like the car and how they almost or did own one at one time! It's very cool to hear their stories. I live in one of the richest zip codes in the country (33480), ferraris, rolls royces, and lambos Everytime I turn my head and I can't tell you how much I love the fact that valets will park my car right up front in between a Gallardo and a Phantom!!

LMFAO obviously you haven't read my new thread I posted today, entitled, "Place Your Guesses!!!". With the repair bills I've paid in the last few years, an SC or TC are a very long way away, in a best case scenario.
