Angry Badge Mod: Remove it yourself

I have the Marauder step plates on all 4 doors, the 8 piece set. When I got the car back from being detailed I noticed my Marauder panel (top one) somehow fell on top of the lower one and I cannot get it off. I want to pry it off, but I fear I will bend it. This is the back left door. Any suggestions as to how to get this thing off the other without damaging it? I had the 3M tape and there should be some kind of liquid to remove it I would guess.

Slowly heat it up with a hair dryer Dom. Then gently pull it up and be careful so it does not bend.

    Dom,

Get a wallpaper wetting (pasting) tray (long and narrow) and a can of denatured alcohol. A plastic putty knife or plastic squeegee may help.

Soak the offending parts in a bath of denat. They'll come apart. Encourage them with your plastic implement. Get the plastic sill out ASAP. The alum can set as long as you want. Clean all the tape off the alum until bare.

Get new tape. Grey emblem tape. Apply to alum first. Warm the plastic and the tape surface that will stick to it with a hair dryer. Line it up and stick it. You get ONE CHANCE!

Condition the remaining exposed plastic sill with a decent silicone based dressing (not armor all). Don't let it run into the tape area.

    Good luck.

Of course this happens, when you "FINALLY" decided to get your car detailed. You mentioned last time you rarely clean your car! I think she likes to be dirty "dirty girl/suisa". STUPID DETAIL!
