flywheel noise after rebuild normal or not

I had my trans rebuilt with stronger internal parts, better torque converter, because it busted a few weeks ago. Its shifting great no issues except for a squeaking noise. The shop said its the flywheel just rubbing against something and the noise should disappear in a short while. Is this true? I'm very skeptical.

if they put it back the way it came apart flywheel would not rub. but when the thing rubbing breaks they will do more work for more of your $
better to do a burn-out than fade away

Take it back and get them to fix it right.

There is absolutely nothing that it should be coming in contact with. With that said, they should be ashamed of themselves.

I called them today as soon as I woke up and told them to fix it, they said they would next week. It's frustrating finding competent people to work on your car.

most likely the plate that bolts between the engine and trans fell out of place and is hitting something. either way, the trans has to come back out to fix it.

I have no doubt the noise will disappear, but I don't think that will be the solution to the problem. Do not be concerned since it is not their car they will not be the least bit worried.
