I added 2 more bulbs (switched to all Sylverstar bulbs as well) like seen in this thread : http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forum...=silver+shades

I have tinted rear tails and have no problems with this set up.

You will also need to have a red reflector towards the rear if you are tinting your lights and are worried about being stopped. The easiest is get a license plate frame that is also red reflector.

If you are going to be driving to NY from MA make sure that if they are darker because of a cover remove them after dark. In NY if you don't your insurance company does not have to cover you if you have an accident.

Are these plug and play or is there a resistor required?

Yes they will. From VLEDS website:

Turn signal issues with LED bulbs

LED turn signal lamps will not flash with thermal flasher units due to their extremely low current draw. Some cars indicate this by increasing the flash rate of the turn signals, some do not flash at all. This can be remedied with load resistors wired across the turn signal bulbs to simulate a filament bulb load. One way to test this is to pull out one of your blinker bulbs. If you get a bulb out warning or rapid flashing, you will need load resistors.

    Load Resistors:
A 6 Ohm, 50 Watt resistor can be connected across the turn signal wire to simulate the load of 1 regular filament bulb (2 Amp load), a 3 Ohm 50 Watt resistor can be connected across the turn signal wire to simulate the load of 2 regular filament bulbs (4 Amp load). This will solve LED related turn signal problems such as hyper flashing, no flashing or burnt out bulb indications.

    ELECTRONIC LED FLASHERS
This problem may also be remedied with an electronic flasher, these units are not available for all makes of vehicles. Many vehicles have two blinker units, one for hazard and one for turn, so locate both by sound output. It is not always necessary to replace the hazard flasher.

Is there an electronic flasher that fit Marauders? rather than use resisitors

The flasher is in the LCM. You can add an electronic flasher to the wiring harness that goes to the LCM (involves cutting some wires in the harness). I'm working on a resistor package to add to the area behind the CD changer in the trunk.

    Something to think about....
When I went all LED in my Marquis (high mount too) the cruise control wouldn't work. I had to wire in a 194 bulb to the trunk wiring to the high mount to make it work again.
