    Confusion will be my epitaph...

Home of the Berserker Marauder, one of the ancient Norse warriors legendary for working themselves into a frenzy before a battle and fighting with reckless savagery and insane fury, held to be invulnerable...shirtless regardless of wounds...(possibly due to ingestion of psychotropic and hallucinatory drugs such as Fly Agaric Mushrooms)...

I went to an airshow a few years ago with my Father-In-Law, and can say that those guys\gals are terrific pilots.

Some of those planes fly at inceredible speeds.

    Great video.

    Thanks for sharing.

    That brought back memories.
When I was little, my Dad's friends built planes
and they got together to fly them on weekends.
It has been so long since I have seen one of those.

    Thanks !
    Pete...

Thanks, I built gas planes as a kid.

I saw the Confederate B29 a few years back. I could not get over how small the tunnel between the crew area and the cockpit. No armour what so ever.

My dad flew STF off carriers, sub chassers that were twin engine prop, including out of Cuba during the missle crisis. He dropped the prototype Atomic Depth Charge!

    Wow !!!!!!!!!

As a KB-29P Tanker pilot, I am amazed at the authenticity of the detail--the pilot is a genius and the show was unbelievable. I wish the " 29" had been as manueverable as the model--but it was underpowered for the missions we flew--had to put into a descent to get enough speed to allow the North American RB-45Cs we refueled to hang onto the boom. The attached pic was taken in April, 1952 as RAF Wing Commander John Crampton led 3 RAF-marked RBs on the first deep penetration of the USSR by high-altitude jet aircraft---the intellegence they brought back changed the course of the Cold War. These are the ONLY air-to-air photos of the mission and I took them. They were declassified from Top Secret in the Fall of 2000.Anyone interested in more detail, PM me--I have all the references.
Now, back to the show---I cannot imagine the time, planning, engineering and , of course, money put into this project---as an amateur model builder, I'm overwhelmed. My greatest congratulations and thanks to the builders and pilots who made this video possible---you made an old man VERY happy. Capt. J. M. Seitz, 91st Air Refueling Squadron, 91st Strat. Recon. Wing, USAF--1950-1953

The joy I would have as a man of my age now living during the Age of the Piston Engine.

Need to get my ass to Yankee Air Museum to get a ride in the B-17G Yankee Lady.

If you have not been there yet, the Kalamazoo Air Museum is a must see. They have the B-29's radial engine on display, and many other treasures....now, if I could just get to Dayton, OH

The B-29's were fast enough for "Fat Man" and "Little Boy", and that's good enough for me!

Dude? You're in Michigan! Wright Pat is only a few hours away

I've hopped in the car a couple times (lived in Rochester Hills, then) and made the trip and it's always worth it.
