Why does my car dry do sluggish with the AC ON?

My car seems to loose power with my AC on, why is that? Also it gets bad hesitation at around 40 mph, I need a fix for this ASAP. Thanks guys

The AC compressor puts a load on the engine when running. It's normal to feel a little sluggish, I notice it much more in my 4cyl car. As for the hesitation it's likely a coil issue. How many miles on the car?

I can hardly feel it when my a/c is on. Maybe because of my mods.
