    Question LEATHERMAN MULTI TOOL

So i was in Sears looking drooling at tools , and happened to look at the Leatherman multi tools, i always teased coworkers about carrying them, and how it was an old farts tool , well i guess im going to join the club once i can bring myself to pay $79.95 for one yikes!

Anyone have any experience, or opinions on the Leatherman?

Lol I don't know man 80 bucks! Is it the top of the line one? My buddy had a 20 or 30 dollar one and he liked it until it broke a couple years down road, but they are handy. I carry a Lenox 9 in 1, utility knife, and small channel locks in my back pocket at work and saves me a lot of trips. Especially because one of the buildings I maintain is 7 story hotel transformed into dorm rooms.

Get a Leatherman, they are great. I have had and used one for years. They are much better constructed than the cheap stuff.

I've known a few that swear by them. I just don't really have the need because I normally have my Rubbermaid cart with all my tools on the job, or in my van when I'm on the road, or in the van on one side of the house and a garage loaded on the other side.. I'm usually covered!

+1. I don't carry much with me, so the Leatherman comes in handy.

Here's a nice tool kit for the GF -

I keep a leatherman and the optional case with extra screwdriver bits in every car. You never know when you'll need a simple tool when your in the car. (I also carry a tool box in the cars) On long road trips, a full 253 piece Craftsman socket set, spare hoses and belts, and duct tape.
