    Nice retrospective

IMO, once you get past the style and romance of 60's cars - and I had a lot of those cars - you are left with the fact that today's cars are the best-engineered, best-built cars ever produced.

Yeah, I'd like to see them side-by-side in person. I always think of those old cars as such schooners, but in the pix the new Marauder doesn't look that much smaller.

I don't remember if it was a Marauder but I remember a 63 or 64 Monterey with the back glass that would lower. I loved the concept.
the XL 100 was just simply gorgeous

They made the Monterey in 1963, and the Monterey, Montclair, Park Lane in 1964-5 that all used the "breezeway window". The Marauder in those years got you a fastback roof in place of the breezeway window.

Awesome side by side pics! I love the old 60's and 70's cars. But, you just can't beat the comfort, economy and performance of today's cars. The biggest difference is the coolness factor... The old ones are cooler, just not as practical! Otherwise, I would still have my 1970 Torino GT 429 CJ 4spd.
