    New Shocks

I'm looking at getting all 4 new shocks on my 04 crown vic, I'm looking to firm up the ride, and reduce body roll / improve cornering. I just don't want it to be too stiff to the point where it sucks to drive it on anything but flat roads. The car's my daily driver.

It's getting a set of marauder wheels, and also getting lowered (cutting the stock springs). What shocks do you think would be best?

    Anyone tried Gabriel "control plus"?

Loaded?? Uhhh no, no kids, 1 wife for 18 years, no vices (except HP), you'd be surprised how much money kids, smokes and alcohol takes to maintain.

Added bonus, work 3 jobs + the wifey's 1 job, there tends to be a little extra cash for toys......

SHHHHHHH, don't say that too loud, or your president might get an idea that having a car is a civil right and the govt is now buying one for everyone.

Not "my" president, I figure that they'll come to take everything I own, since I worked for it, and it's paid for, then re-distribute it to some less fortunate non-working voter, so they will be able to make the next election month we have.

Don't cut your spring so fast. Try Bilstein HD all four corners. I had them on two other grand marquis. They make for the best ride & handling of any combination avalable. If you have the coin add f/r addco bars. You will think you died & went to heven.
2004 marauder black purchased new. Sold 9/16 at 297,000 miles. Still ran strong didn't burn a drop of oil.
2003 marauder black 28,000 miles all stock. Garage Queen.
    2004 marauder red daily driver.

Go with OEM, get front and rear sway bars and rear upper/lower control arms. The car will be a dream to throw into the turns then.

Are the OEM marauder shocks the same as the police spec 04 shocks?

Go to www.rockauto.com and dial in your year/make/model to see what they offer; then do the same for MM of same year.

By the way, Some of the Motorcraft (OEM) shocks are surprisingly expensive.
