    The yellow Maryland plates, says vintage at the bottom, I've been seeing around. I've heard they were limited edition for a year or so.

    THESE are what he is talking about. They were only available until 12/31/2014. They are throwback plates to the porcelains ones that MD used in 1910.

    Dear MVA Customer,

    Thank you for your recent email inquiry.

    A specially designed 1910 reproduction license plate became available
    January 2014. The plate resembled the license plate issued by the State of
    Maryland in 1910 for display on a vehicle. The special reproduction plates
    were only available until December 31, 2014.

    Yeah, had no clue they were available! Thanks Chris!
