Found my old install thread.
Thought it my be useful.
Muth also had directions and I believe they listed the correct wires.
I always recommend using a test light to ensure to tap into the correct wire.

Just some update/notes from my recent Muth Signal Mirror install or an addendum to already posted stuff.
Unfortunately, i didn't take any pics during the install, it's not hard.
Closest ones would be from Embassy install:
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forum...highlight=muth
and these instructions:
http://shop.muthco.com/content/pdf/install/21000300.pdf
Definately use a heat gun or hair dryer on the mirror, but disregard the part about using screw driver. Once glass/plastic backing is heated enough push in on the edge closest to vehicle, while pulling other edge away from housing. Mirror should pop off with minimal effort if warm enough. That's the hardest/scariest part of the procedure, if you've never done it. Also, wire portion that remains in door, cut and put connectors on ends "ala Embassy" for ease of removal if need arises. Have to go back and do mine.
As for wire connection use the 2004 wiring part (top section) of instructions. Once you remove the cover, the wires you want are on the second/middle plugin connector attached to white plastic. The two wires are right next to each other. I tap spliced and soldered mine in. For ground i used the big bolt, but had to use a washer larger than yellow connector eye and red loctite (insurance).
Well that's it and hope it helps. Hope i didn't leave out anything. As i said, it's not hard just a little time consuming. It is well worth it.
P.s get a stiff wire at least 14 gauge. makes it easier to fish wires thru door to frame grommet, and you will have to pull the car side end away from hole.
