Never Too Early To Start Planning for The Power Tour

I know it is not a Ford, but I just picked up this 1974 Z28 Disco Camaro:

My plans for the car are to Swap in a 5.7 LS1 and a T56.

I am in the parts ordering and rounding up stage at the same time as tearing the car down.

I will be using BRP Hotrods LS conversion set up with mid-length headers so that stuff has been ordered up.

Also, my shop is a dealer for Classic Auto Air so I ordered and will be using their kit with Direct Electronic Replacement controls.

Currently my plan is to sell the existing Z28 wheels (factory) and use a 17" replacement Z28 style wheel.

As I go, I will need to figure out what to do for the header back exhaust but my current thinking is to use a set up that allows me to use a transverse muffler as the car came with from the factory.

I am also looking at using a Tanks, Inc. fuel tank set up and Dakota Digital gauges. My partner has the Dakota Digitals in his '70 LS-swapped Nova and I like the way that they look.

I am sure as I go I will have questions for all the folks who have been down this swap path before and hopefully I won't wear folks out with questions.

I will be posting parts for sale as well as I take them off the car. For sure I will be selling the Z28 wheels and the the Super T-10.
