Yes Marty.....
It has Diablo Tuning and Steve, like most of you guys, uses SCT tuning!!

BTW, has anyone seen the "parting line" on the BIG END of the OEM "sintered metal" rods???
It looks like they break the damn things!! It's cinch ya couldn't mix the caps up!!
Had I seen this before I probably would NOT have Supercharged an OEM motor!!
No Marauder
sintered rods are used for production because they are dense, lightweight and are very stable after the sinterizing furnace, meaning very little secondary machine work..old cast rods required much more machine work and were subject to porosity depending on the casting process.

I understand the technology completely......just never imagined the would literally "BREAK" the big end of the rods to separate the halves!!
After talking to several people I understand FORD has done this quite awhile!!
How is the "BREAK" actually done and how do they make it break exactly in the center??
No Marauder
I would have to see a pic to see what you are talking about. Stamped metal parts that are punched out have a cut band and a break band..it is not punched all the way. Die cast items are overfilled to reduce porosity into overflow pockets and these are trimmed away in a trim die which cuts and breaks the edge/perimeter off.
