steering wheel Mercury God Emblem.?!?!

hey i bought the 3 kit of the mercury chrome God emblems , i have a question for the one that goes on the steering wheel. these emblems fix them self,s by 3M tape on the back side of the emblem ..

how is the original mercury wave fixed onto the steering wheel of the MM.?!?! is it using a adhesive on the back or does it have little prongs that hold into steering wheel?!?! to get the Original Mercury wave off steering wheel ,do u just get a little pick and work around the edges until it pop,s off.!!??!

also do u need some how to disconnect the power to the steering wheel air bag when , u are trying to remove the original mercury wave button of center of steering wheel?!?!? if so how do u do that?!?! fuse or relay some where or it not need at all and just pry and pick around edges until u get the original one off ?!?!?

If you got the Carmotorsports emblems just install it on top of the water fall / hockey sticks.

The OEM one is secured with prongs.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 15 minutes before working on anything with airbags.... front seat, steering wheel or dashboard.

I was staring at the emblem I put on my steering wheel the other day....will the 3M tape hold if the airbag deploys? I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth the glorious death but I kind of need to weigh my odds.

did u pry out the original mercury wave emblem on steering wheel or did u just put ur new emblem ,with 3M. Tape an stick it over the original emblem ?!?!?

I stuck mine over the OEM badge.

does it look good that way or does it stick out to much from the steering wheel, or it does the job , looks good an easy way of doing it just stick it over OEM badge on steering wheel..

I stuck mine over the OEM badge.

Exactly what I did , and if I ever decide to go back to the factory badge i just remove the Car motor sports badge.
