    Smart move!

And you're right, it's not a matter of "if", but "when" for these two components to fail.

I assume you meant fog light.

Yes, I have spares for the OEM foglights.

I'm going to head over to boc early to see if I can get 8 or so spots that are in the shade. It's going to be 90deg that day with Jim working on most of the cars. I called last year and ask if they could reserve a spot with some shade for us and he said sure ok but when we got there we where all right in the middle

I've already contacted the FOCA guys, here's the text from an e-mail I received from the BOC Director this morning:

"The weather forecast is good, so we anticipate a big turnout. You'll recall that last year we only had around 110 cars, so space was not an issue. We had 200 the year before, and we expect between 200 & 250 this year. It is going to be busy, and group parking will be tough. We have the whole top lot again, and we have secured space in the lower lot as well.

When you know for sure (sometime Saturday morning) how many cars are in your group, give me a call at 704-796-7380. I'll get the word to our parking crew. No guarantees of course, but as Buster says, we will do our best!"

We're looking at 6 to 8 cars, so my guess is they'll work on getting us set up with reserved spaces, but not sure they'll be shaded. (IIRC, it's pretty much a wide open parking lot).

I can bring my 12' x 12' canopy we can put up for shade, if need be.

    Will do.

But just think, you get sunburned and you can get medicinal treatment afterward here...
