19x10 gt500 wheel in the rear?

First off, Hi everyone! I just purchased my first Marauder on friday. I was skeptical at first about it because I'm usually a General Motors guy but I absolutely love this car. Anyway, I can't help but modding any car I own and I do like the stock wheels but I also saw a picture of the 2010 Gt500 wheels on a marauder and it looked really good. I have been searching the web and don't see too many people running a 19x10 in the rear. Is there a reason for this? If it would work without modification what is the best tire to run with this size wheel?

Also, I have a 2004, will this size wheel mess with the traction control?

Welcome!! People usually just don't like to change the rims; after all, that's one of the things that makes Marauders special! I've seen up to 10.5 on a Crown Vic with the right backspacing, and I'm running '08 GT500 rims (18 x 9.5) You shouldn't have any problems, those rims are just up there in price. As far as tires go, I have a Nitto NT555 295/45 for my rears. Great tires for the price. I haven't seen anything wider than that due to clearance issues. If you do go that route, make sure to get a taller rear tire, rubber bands look kinda funny on these big cars.

I was thinking of a 19 x 8.5 up front and 19 x 10 in the back. On americanmuscle.com I found these wheels for around $140 - $180 a wheel. I know they are a cheaper wheel but if I crack one up, I won't be too upset. So with a 295/45 on a 19x10, I will have plenty of room? I want the car to have a nice stance and not look trashy. I was thinking of running a 245 or 255 up front.

I am going for the look of the CV in the picture except a black wheel and wider in the back.

You can run a 9.5 up front and not have a problem, that's just the absolute max. For the 19" wheel you'll want to go one aspect ratio lower than I did. So a 255/40R19 up front and 295/40R19 in back is what might be best for you. That will fill up the wheel well just as much as the Marauder's 245/55R18.

I have a few pictures of Panthers with those rims that I'll put up in a minute.

I had 2010 gt500 wheels on my marauder. They only come 18x9.5 and 19x9.5. Go with 18s for better tire selection. Car will handle so much better with those wheels.

    Check my gallery for pictures.
