    Muffler shop recommends super 10s

I stopped by a hole in the wall muffler shop today to see about cutting out the rear cats. I just want a little more sound...key word is little. This guy comes out and recommends super 10s and says it'll cost $250. I ask if it will be too loud...he says, "no, it'll be just what you want". Wow...flowmaster advertises that these mufflers aren't recommended for street use.

I guess I won't be back. I will say this though, I didn't know I needed 4" Megs until I saw the group buy. I've always love the marauder tips...I thought I was content. Now I'm growing discontent. This is why I hate the Internet.

I've heard Super 10's on a '57 Chebbie. Sounded awesome. Quieter than the Areo 2525's I've heard on members cars here. Less bark and more muscle sound. I've been tempted to try but I don't have a local exhaust shop guy who wouldn't mind experimenting a few set ups for say... a case of beer.

Just remove the cats and put straight pipe in All with stock mufflers

Or add different mufflers and keep the cats. All this for a little more louder, not enough to piss off the neighbors

If you hate your neighbors, put long tubes, no cats, x pipe, resonator deletes

I just want a little more volume. That is why I was talking about no rear cats on stock mufflers. The exhaust guy was trying to up-sell me. Speaking sod hating neighbors...here is a vid of my old cobra....off road x-pipe with magnapacks. This was too loud for me.

Yes Sir A&P Muffler technologies carry the Accelerator performance muffler. these mufflers sound like the Factory 70-71 Mach 1 and Torino Cobra Fords mufflers from back in the day.

I had Flow master super 10s sounds badass when WOT the rest of the time the drone was killing me! This was on my 2000 Mustang GT. I wouldn't go that route plenty other mufflers that will give you what you want, Magnaflow, Aero, Borla's, SLP etc.

I used to work at an exhaust shop for many years. I also went with super 10's on mine with everything else being stock, 100% love it!

And on these cars, with everything else exactly the same, 10's are quieter than 40's.

If you couldn't guess I have tried many different combinations, stock with 10's IS my favorite. One word about drone though, 90-95mph there is some.
