    Cost for 4.10 Installation?

OK, I may be ready to do this (I know, you told me so).

How much should I expect to spend for the installation?

Can anyone recommend a shop in Southern NJ?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Parts and labor? Around $500.00 - $600.00

Worth every penny in my opinion.

    Mike.

**edit - May cost you a little more, and does depend on your geographical location. Check our the local Mustang forums in your area. Always a good starting point.

My install cost $300 and that included fluid.

Installed at a local speed shop.

Get some gears from Sparta, they are I believe $149 right now. Then find a local Mustang shop or Ford dealer. Range that I have seen is $300-500. You will need a gear install kit as well and if you have a fair amount of mileage on the car I would replace the axle bearings/seals since the axles need to be removed anyways.

Check the axles too. Some have wear issues on the outside bearing end. Mine were bad. I think I paid $65 each for new axles from Ford. You'll also need to get your speedometer recalibrated. If you have a hand held tuner, that will do it.

How far South in Jersey are you?

I can recommend two top notch shops but it will depend on how far you want to travel.

My local shop charged me 4 hrs labor.
I supplied the gears and install kit (Richmond).
They had to use some of their shims to dial it in.
