No...but I might not be the best to ask this, as I recently had my complete passenger cabin (including headliner) "carpeted" with Dynamat. It's "whisper quiet" inside with just a low rumble from the exhaust.Originally Posted by Marauderjack

Are these the KDWS or KDW2? Do they feel better than the originals?

Yes. Yes. And no problems with clearance, but keep in mind...I have these on the rear instead of the "fat & junky" Tokico OEMs...Originally Posted by sailsmen

How's the ride in comparison to the OEMs? Smoother? Firmer?
Thx,

Self-importance is our greatest enemy. Think about it - what weakens us is feeling offended by the deeds and misdeeds of our fellowmen. Our self-importance requires that we spend most of our lives offended by someone. -- Carlos Castaneda
I can't say just for the tires, as I had a complete new, custom QA1 front and rear system put in at the same time. Which BTW...made the ride MUCH better than stock in several ways...lowered, sporty, yet smooth as silk over large bumps. PLUS...it ALWAYS feels good to have fresh "meats" on!Originally Posted by duhtroll
Good idea starting a new thread Tod, we kinda got off track talking tires in your 'coil-over' thread. Atleast I have enough faculties today to actually see your links.Originally Posted by TAF
I like your choice of sizes. Many of us, me included, took advantage of Tire Racks awesome sale on our OEM tires last month, therefore new tires are now 10-12,000 miles out again.
Perhaps in the coming months BFG will offer exact OEM sizes for those of us reluctant to alter sizes. Actually, I don't really care, I just look back and wished I had waited to buy. But $89 per tire was hard to resist.
The link Tod posted above tells some of the story, I think I'll call and find out every size in 18 available at this time.Originally Posted by Tire Rack ad
EDIT: Apparently there is a vast selection already available in 18".

Well I think I just found my new tires for the OE wheels. TAF you are blazing a path for all of us. The 255/55/18 rear tire is 29 inches tall !!! 24mpg here I come. Good max load rating too, 2271 lbs. Stock is 1929 lbs.

TAF why is the center section of your brake rotor brown? Also what lugs are you using, are they lightweight?

Thanks Todd, ordered the rears they were bald at 12K, will wait a little while to replace the fronts.

'Cause I just washed the car late yesterday and the wheel stuff I use puts "gunk" on the rotors until I take it out and drive it...then it goes away. I washed the car and put her to bed last night...just pulled it out for these pics.Originally Posted by wesman
Lugs...these are some special lugs that we found for Marty's car at a high-end wheel wholesaler here in Atlanta. They are SWEET! We got "keys" for them as well...I think they look MUCH better than having one lug like the McGard stuff...unless "carl Criminal" is totin' around an airgun and the correct allen-head key...he ain't gettin these off.

That design has been around for almost two years. What is new is the many more sizes that are now available. Thanks for the update as I'm nearing 14,000 miles with winter coming on.
