Cool, I'll be getting the room blocked tomorrow. Riding solo now, not going to the girlfriends folks house. So I'll probably cruise up Friday after work and bolt Sunday morning.

The S/C I've bucket will be on tow

Still racking my brain, trying to figure out the logistics for that weekend.

--Won't be on the road til afternoon due to court that morning
--Should I wait til kids are out of school and bring them with me
--Should I head down as soon as I'm out of court and head back up here Sat aftn to spend time w/kids rest of weekend
--If I bring kids w/me, two nights in hotel a bit pricey since I just dropped $500 last weekend to/from/in Loosville
--If I book only one night in hotel, which night? (I'm leaning towards Fri night); can stay at my Mom's Sat night.
--Is the Tilted Kilt a 'proper' place to bring kids?
--How bored will they be at the car show?

On the car show---Heck man--you were there last year---it is the same--the q is --will they like that kinda bore(to them)?

Well, I pretty much know/knew that bringing the kids along would be less than desirable, just didn't want to admit it. Plus, I'd like to spend some time getting my MM real sharp-looking for the show and not be 'afraid' to have people look at it like last year. Having the kids with me will definitely create extra tension in that area. I'm not saying they're 'hell-raisers', but the fact that I'm not around them every day is beginning to 'show' (well, has been for several months), and I'll just leave it at that.

So, my plan is to drive down/over on Friday after I'm out of court and hopefully have enough time to clean her up some before dinner. Since it will be finals week next week and all of my exams will be done on 27 April, I will have ample time to knock out the more tedious/time-consuming cleaning chores so all that is left is a quick wash and clean up of the wheels the day of. I will be leaving the show around 3pm to head back here to spend the rest of the weekend w/my kids.

I won't be booking a room; my Mom's/Sister's house is about 15 mins from the Hilton (straight up Hwy 29, make a right at Lowes Motor Speedway, drive 2 more miles)....appreciate you pulling strings to get a great rate, though. I'll show up in time the next morning to join the convoy.

Here is the info for the car show. There is usually an entry fee.

The Blue Oval Classic IS a car show.

    http://www.foacarolinas.com/2012%20B...2020120216.pdf

Friday night arrivals will prolly get together for dinner somewhere; location TBD.

Saurday morning we're meeting at the Mooresville Dennys around 8:30 a.m. and after breakfast will drive the mile or so to the Ford dealership for the show. Those staying over at the Hilton will prolly drive up together, the others will meet them at Dennys.

Event registration ends at 11:00 a.m., so if you're arriving at noon on Saturday, yo won't be able to show your car. You'll have to park in the spectator's area and can just walk in, I don't think there's a general admission charge for spectators.

Trophies and door prizes are awarded around 3:00 p.m., after that, folks will either head back to the Hilton if they're staying over Saturday night, or will head on home.
