Is there a thread that explains the 300A, 300B, etc? If I understand correctly, its the versions of the car (hood light, no hood light, full size spare, cheap spare, etc)

Do a search under 300A or 300B. I 've stated the differences in some threads before.

Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.
MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.
Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.
Rest In Peace:

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.
IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.
Try this link for some discussion on 300A vs. 300B. Inside this thread are some additional links.....Originally Posted by twolow

Stuff done to it. See here.
Only '03s have a 300B version...all '04s are 300A...
The primary differences between 300As and 300Bs are what the 'Bs DON'T have:
Full-size spare
Automatic parking brake release
Electric fuel door release
Stand-alone clock
Metal rear speaker grilles
What 300Bs DO have that 300As don't:
Traction control
Heated seat option
'04 300As are just like '03 300Bs...
During the change-over from A to B, some Bs got some of the 300A options, so you may find a 300B with a full-size spare (for example)...
The Blackbird
Trilogy #61
Driveway Queen
The Spruce Goose
2004 Grand Marquis LS Limited Edition
Daily Driver
I have a 300B then from all that I read.
I thought I saw where the hood light was deleted, is that true? Mine has it.
It also came with rubber bands hidden through out (when I was fixing the subwoofer rear deck rattle two or three rained down on me) as well as a large sack of money tucked away behind the cd changer. Was this the cash back incentive?
I believe the "large sack of money" was intended only for those who bought the Blue MM with CD changer and trunk organizer.Originally Posted by twolow
Please send the sack to me and I will assure that it gets distributed appropriately.
