300a vs 300b

Been reading on the board for a while and always see references to a 300a or 300b. What is the difference and how do you tell. Also what is pre-contented(sp)? Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks!

The pre-decontented ones are a mix of the two. i.e. a car with traction control, but also a full size spare, remote gas door, auto e-brake release.

depanding on year. 300a mostly pertains to 2003 model year. Clock in dash

map pockets in seats Etc. Where 300b pertains moslty to the 2004 model

year. Traction Control, clock delete etc.

Almost, but not quite.....300Bs were only in 2003. 300Bs lost the in-dash clock, front seat pockets, electronic gas door release and auto parking brake release but got traction control, a mini spare and light flint as a second choice for interior color. They weren't option packages, just different "standard" features. Optional heated seats and moon roof were not available on 2003 300As. And just to confuse you even more, some 300Bs produced in early Nov. 2002 had some of the 300A features, hence our term of "pre-decontented."

All 2004's are 300A (reset the letter with the new production year,) and mirror the features of 2003 300Bs.
