    Triton V10 is Home...PICS!

    This thing is HUGE

    Here it is:

I love Modular engines, because they are, well, 'MODULAR'!

I was concerned about the oil and water neck on the drivers side:
Stock Water & Oil cooler pic:

    Pic with Marauder motor mount:

    Pic with Marauder Water Outlet:

So far so good... er....Oil pan

    Stock vs Marauder:

    Stock Marauder pan bolted up:

So, to get this thing in the car, Im going to order another Marauder Oil pan.
Then I will lay the v10 pan out on cardboard and spray some paint through the holes, creating a template. Once I have that, I can cut the front section off the old Marauder pan and weld it onto the new Marauder pan to fit.

As is, the V10 pan will hit the crossmember and is way too deep (9.5" vs 6.25 on the MM)
A small adjustment to a stock MM oil pick up tube and the engine will be in the car.

I must admit Im scared of the electrical wiring needed for this to be a success. I have the best brains working to see if the Marauder computer has the extra drivers built in to run 2 extra cylinders. If so this will be much easier than I thought.
If not, I will have to adapt the V10 computer to run the engine and other essential MM functions, and most likely buy a stand alone Bauminator 4R70W transmission controller.

Ill keep everyone in the loop

    Was it a 2V?
This is a 3V, much more involved, and is drive by wire.

Thanks for the reassurance, Im gonna REALLY need it here.

How about using the MM TB for non drive-by-wire.

I know this: The PCM is the one that flat and has 3 plug ins.

    Keep us posted.

Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

    Rest In Peace:
    Alex "Marauderboi" Vachon 3/2/92-8/13/10
    Paula Babineau 1/9/67-8/2/11
    Rex Weinbender
    Peter

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.
