I'm curious, what kind of MPG are you getting from E85?

E85 saves the enviroment, but you're use more fuel when driving. E85 is not as potent as all out gas.

e85 is more potent if tuned right and especially in blown apps.
Im getting a MPG or 2 less from what i see on my work commute. I personally would go ask on a mustang forum, e85 stangs i believe was the name of one of the boards. |

A member here in Minnesota, Dave Johnson, had a local shop convert his MM to E85. Hi-Tech I think did the conversion.
Here is a thread with some information. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forum...ad.php?t=44855

I now have a tune for E85 for ProRauder. With the BigStuff3, I can change it on-the-fly if I choose. Taking it to Chicago in late October to have it dialed in with the Nitrous to make it safe for racing. Only downside was that I have to go about 10 miles to the nearest co-op to get it.
While down at MVVI today I passed a station that had E85 on the sign for $2.99/gal. John |

![]() I've also noticed that I get about 2 mpg less on gas/ethanol blends fuels than on straight gas (whever available).

E85 is stupid...
Using our corn supply for food...FOR FUEL. This increases the demand for corn increasing the cost of food. For a fuel that pretty much only racers are using. I won't touch E85 with a 10ft pole. Need more octane? Get a meth kit.

i have read that the ethanol is more corossive so the flex fuel cars have a special lining in the fuel tank so that the is no corosion, the fuel lines are stainless steel lined in plastic again because the e85 will eat the metal, there are different engine sensors to detect the difference in fuels, ans the injectors are made a different materials as well for the corrosion problems. can anyone back this up? what do you guys do tune wise to make the mm run on e85?
