It has mileage inconsistency 168k plus. It was a total loss from an accident in 2014. I have been wanting a marauder for a long time. Please give me some feedback. Thank you in advance.

no thats too much, try 3.5-4k if he buckles let him have the car. If I were you, I would keep saving.. these cars are too good to settle for less.

says 117k miles in the ad, but it really has 168k? or carfax shows records exceeding 117k? either way, another grand will get one with a clear title and no stories. I'd wait.
if you believe it to have 117k, AND have excellent proof that the collision was repaired to original, AND your state won't hassle when you register the car - AND if that is all the money you have - maybe, just to have a Marauder. But you will have no resale value, should it not work out.
I'd wait.

Yeah. Might have to do a crown vic in the mean time. Thank you!

Kinda funny how Marauder specific Parts like bumpers are scarcely exorbitant and the whole car complete , running & driving , ain't worth much.

Yep, and everyone wants a low mile garage queen with all the mods and a trilogy, then scoff at 30 or 35k, they usually wind up buying a Vic, then buy all the Marauder specify parts to "convert" it and will spend 10k + a car to make that happen, run it into the ground, then want to sell it for 8-10k when it's real value is $8. Bottom line, most of those looking at marauders have minimal credit, no cash and big dreams, but they can afford bumpers........

Kind of hard to find a clean title marauder in the Bay Area. 10k is my max for 1 right now.

One just got listed here for$7500 with owners thru the site here. It's in Iowa..road trip..just as info since you mentioned a crown vic while waiting for one to show up in your area., these cars need premium gas, not 87 so you know that CA gas costs alot anyway. I only brought it up since others have not thought about it and it became a concern to them about mileage etc..

Whatever price you and the seller agree to is the "right" price.

Marauders don't have a price. Seriously, they never have, never will.. It's a roller coaster ride and they are worth whatever the purchaser will pay at that given time.
I've seen $25,000+ ones sold for half value because the owner was ready to move on quickly, health conditions, even kids tuition force sale.
On the flip side I've seen plenty suckered paying mid teens for a "modified" car that wasn't worth $6,000 in my book.
Of course, the numbers I threw out where my personal belief on values.. See what I mean?

Speaking as someone who recently bought a salvage title Marauder for $4,000 ...I am so glad I didn't waste a few extra grand for a clear title. My Marauder has been great and for less then a modded Vic. If you plan on keeping it, no one will ever know unless you tell everyone or get a bumper sticker that reads SALVAGE TITLE. If you're honestly torn between a salvage title Marauder or Crown Vic, then get the Marauder. I guarantee you won't lose your money on the deal. You'll always find someone willing pay you more or you could easily break even and put that money towards the Marauder you really want. I've owned 4 Vic's, 2 Towncars, and 2 Grand Marquis. I loved them all but after owning my Marauder I'll never go back.

If it's got 117k and no real problems it's worth 3500. Offer 3 see what happeneds

Why was it salvaged? I've seen salvaged cars that had nothing wrong but were recovered steals or cars that had minimal body damage that the insurance adjustor totaled out even cars that had mechanical problems. That designation is not just for cars that had moderate to severe body damage from accident.

In a free market the buyer and seller decide the value of the transaction.

I would enlarge your area of search, and find a cleaner one for $9000. Southern Nevada, Arizona, and Texas are ripe markets for Marauders.
And the dive home is life affirming!
