Hello. Glad to be here. My bumper cover was damaged in transit by a blow out. This cracked the finish and left bad scratches down to the raw material. Is it possible to repair the bumper cover if it remains structurally sound ? I hope someone has an answer to this. Thanks Thelxian.

Yes it is fixable, although a picture would let those responding know how bad the damage is.

Any good body shop can fix it depending on the amount of damage.

Here the body shops send out the cracked, split, severely damaged bumpers off to a local company who soley repairs fubar bumpers

It's repairable, just search for the right body shop

Plastic welding is one of the easiest forms of welding there is. Just like anything getting joined, it's a matter of the correct filler rod. In plastics alone we stocked probably 6-7 different varieties of filler rod in our welding dept. Done right it will never ever fail.

Southeastern Bumpers in Knoxville TN can fix them. I've had a couple repaired there and you can't tell it. If any tabs get torn off, try to keep them so they can be reattached.
