Hi all. I'm in NW Indiana. U.S. Army retired/disabled. Married, one of each. I am not completely new to the Panther platform as I have had two Crown Vics before, but this is my first Marauder. Holy Jesus I love this car! Only had it a few days and am in love. So much more refined, quicker, and more stable. Why the hell did these cars not sell? Just pick up a black '03. The previous owner did some mods. There is a K&N cold air intake, and a louder set of mufflers. I almost want to say Flowmaster 40 series. They kinds have that Flowmaster drone, but it is a bit different sound. Could be the difference in the 32 valve motor, or could be Magnaflow or something else. He put LED interior lights in it, I love them. Headlights are aftermarket with some kind of ballast. Not sure if HID or LED but they are very bright. Too bad, they are kinda buggy and don't always work. Regular bulbs going in tomorrow 'til I can figure it out. He also put some blacked out tail lights on it. Starting to get used to them, but I still think it would look better with red lenses. The all black rear just looks like it's missing something to me. Stereo isn't working right, no sub, and no CD player. It is a very clean and straight car for being 12 years ols and having 110K miles on it. Rides like a dream, handles great, and is very quick. I haven't got a ticket in 20 years and am scared that may change soon... Hoping to learn more about this wonderful car. Stereo first, wheels and tires by spring or summer. I want to add the Marauder spoiler. (I thought they all came with it.) Then she'll be perfect. Well, here she is.

Welcome, I welcomed you on cv.net also. I second the reading up on these cars, there's enough differences to make the time worth while.

Welcome to the Modness! I am ex Hoosier ex Air Force and retired civil servant myself. We will be at the Louisville meet. You should really make an effort to come to the Louisville meet in April. There will be quite a few Marauders there and the owners will help answer any questions you have and you can see what has been done to theirs as well. It is a really fun time and great people.

Nice looking ride , sounds like it needs the normal type of attention, and repairs for used Marauder.

Welcome aboard. You have just joined another brotherhood. Just like the military, we don't have can't in our vocabulary. When help or advice is needed, you ask on the web site. Your brothers and sisters will respond within a day. If we can't help to solve the problem, we can at least point you in a positive direction.

Thanks for all the welcomes.
1. My tires are not staggered as from the factory. It came with 235/50/18 winter tires on all 4 corners. I plan to get a nicer set of wheels. These have some curb rash. I want to go back to a bigger tire in the rear as well.
2. I am going to try to make the Louisville meet in the spring. Can't go off roading anymore without a 4x4 truck, so as long as I get to still see cool cars and meet some people, it should be fun.
3. I noticed that the trans likes to up shift, but I like the 24 mpg I've been getting so far. (I know it's off due to the small rear tires) Most important thing is how she drives in the snow. I don't want the shifts to be too firm. I may think about a tune after my new tires and wheels.

That is what is nice about the xcal tuners you can change the program out in no time from stock to mild to wild. It will hold several programs.
