USPS just dropped off my TCE Front and Rear Braided brake hoses. Quick shipping and great price. Now I got to get a new Set of cross drilled and slotted rotors. And quality brake pads. And put it all in one time. Where is the best place to get. Slotted and cross drilled rotors and ceramic brake pads.

Like yourself, I do not agree with Todd the smaller kits are sufficient. However, he did design a kit for the larger caliper and rotor (Plus 4 kit) after hearing our complaints, which I have installed. I had severe problems with the small kit's wear and pad transfer issues (also called rotor warping).

So if the larger kit solves the problem I will have solid before/after evidence over the next several months to a year. I don't think Motown has had any issues, but I don't think he had the Wilwood FNSL6R before to thoroughly prove the before/after.

This has nothing to do with TCE's kits, the guy just got STOCK braided lines and wants OEM size replacement rotors and OEM size pads, go watch your car get built or something :mad2:

To the OP, R1 Concepts makes some nice rotors for the marauder

He asked about rotors. I shared the message offering Aero as an option. Seek anger management counseling.

All u see is a quote from lifespeed

Where is aero even mentioned???

OP-Drilled and slotted rotors are prone to cracking, I've ruined many of them lol

Just get a 4 or 6 piston kit and never look back

It seems that problem may consist with actual cars that run and drive, so why would you be quoting it??

It is my understanding the 'larger' kit Lifespeed discusses is the Plus 4, which utilizes Aero6. While I am not a fan of TCE Performance, I recognize many of the Marauder owners are and offered the rotors used in the Plus 4 kit as an option. Of course, the tire and wheel size needs to be 19" or bigger.

I have owned my TCE Plus 1 and 2 kits for over six years with 50K miles applied.

Making fun of my car being down is low.

If that's the case, quote your own experience, not someone else's. Not making fun of your car, I have no clue as to what mods you have done.

I would figure one that would have an input would quote their own experience, not what someone else went through. I.e., I have Wilwoods on my POS, I have had -0- problems with them, I have done plenty of 130 to nothing stops, still, -0- problems, that is my experience, yet when someone asks, you tell of others experience, hence, me not thinking you had Wilwoods. On top of that, from your posts, your car isn't running, once again, how could you base an experience on something if your car doesn't run? If you take that as making fun of your car, you need thicker skin. :violin:

I have 50K miles of experience with TCE. And I quoted Lifespeed qualified support of a TCE larger kit. What is your problem with me quoting someone supporting the vendor you do?

I have an 04 Marauder with high performance Wilwood b rake kits (front and rear) from Todd @ TCE Performance. I love 'em, baby. ANyway, now I welcome advice on which master cylinder and pump I should install. Stick with Wilwood? Something else?

Has anyone changed their master cylinder and/or pump? Did it affect the ABS?

Thanks,

I am quoting you to you.

Where does KC from BG weigh in on all of this brake stuff?

It's kind of along the same lines as giving tech info when you have no experience on fixing the problem.

You have 50k miles of experience with TCE? Then what is YOUR opinion of the product, why would you even say what someone else's opinion is?

I didn't quote $h!7 till you did, and I did it as an example, not a reference.

So...... the question remains, what is your opinion? And, why can't you just say what it is without being on some defensive stand?

Well, welcome aboard Marty. KC believes the pad shipped with the Plus 2 kit (mounted in the front) is too abrasive and wears quickly. He also feels the rotor is too thin and small for such a large vehicle. What Lifespeed said,...., and me.

Any other questions?

My low opinion of TCE is well known. I wrote the thread, "Would Not Recommend."

And you still fail to grasp my quote of another was in favor of TCE - recognizing not all Marauder owners feel the same way about TCE as me.

The OP doesn't give a flying **** about the brake upgrade kits, he asked about rotors and pads for his braided lines FOR THE STOCK MARAUDER BRAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys can argue over Todd's kit somewhere else :argue::argue:

Uhh yeah, I lack the ability to grasp your opinion of someone else's opinion, when the OP asked about brake lines, rotors and pads, yep, your right, I'm the problem.

I'm with you, I was trying to make sense of someone posting someone else's statement. But maybe the OP should consider and upgrade...

This is where the learning process begins.
My take on this is;
#1. a stock Marauder has mediocre brakes (at best)
#2. There are few dedicated passionate vendors left on here by the handful. (Like five).
#3. Stop it already!

This thread is severely derailed. Let's try to get back on topic...

I like the ATE PremiumOne rotors. They have an elliptical groove/slot pattern which doesn't cause any problems, unlike drilled rotors which are prone to cracking. I replaced a set after more than 5 years of daily driver duty.

I went with Wagner ThermoQuiet pads, and prefer them over the NAPA Adaptive One pads I used previously.

P.S. I also have the braided line kit for stock brakes, ready to be installed any year now.
