I'd sure like to find a set of "decent" front mats. My newest addition has a brand new set, the original owner took them out and put them in the trunk. I just can't bear to put them in the floor and step all over them. But those rubber things he put in it are just plain ugly.

Walmart, Target or any FLAPS. I spend about $20.00 on a decent set instead of using the factory ones.

My car came without any mats. Going to have to make an Auto-Zone or Wal-Mart trip soon.

you're right about that... Although it could give me a reference point on the value of what came with my car. In a way, they're too nice to actually use. But that's what they're for, right?

I use charcoal grey bath mats. They're soft and rubber backed so they don't slide PLUS they're machine washable and disposable. The floorpan is huge enough and they sort of disappear.

Some things never change :D
$125 each set shipped. They will come with rear mats
Both need a good cleaning, and a fbm heal plate to be presentable.

I've replaced the Motorcraft carpeted floor mats in my '00 Crown Vic twice in 13 years. Not only do they get dirty and start to slide, but I always manage to get a heel wear mark on the driver's side, exposing the rubber underneath.
The guy who sold me my '03 LX installed a set of new rubber Goodyear mats. They're thick and heavy and they don't slide around. They match my interior (parchment) and actually look quite nice. I was so pleased with them that I decided to get a gray set for my '00 PI (graphite interior). The four-piece set was $20 from Costco (https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1402&bih=873&q=goodyear+floor+mat&oq=goodyear+floor+mat&gs_l=img.3..0j0i24l5.922.3989. 0.4239.18.18.0.0.0.0.209.1469. 14j2j1.17.0....0...1.1.64.img. .1.17.1466.Vg3HGopwI4g). If you dislike rubber mats, they're an effective but inexpensive way to buy you some time until you find suitable carpeted mats.

Yes but you also drive in the buff... so it kinda makes sense.
