How Acurate is the Amp Guage in the Marauders ?
Driving mine is at almost 14
sitting at light goes down to 12 somedays , New Altenator

It's not 100% accurate. Check it with a multimeter when at home or change it to a real autometer or brand of your choice

It's fairly accurate. Should be around 14.2 volts at full charge.

Is it Possible for it to Drop to 12 at Idle in gear low RPM

Mine will drop to 12.5 or so, in gear at idle, hot, A/C and cooling fan on, blower on high. Otherwise it's never below 13

Uh....it's a "Voltage Gauge" and it's fairly accurate!! :cool:

All 3 of mine do that. One with upgraded alternator and 2 with stock ones.
I believe the voltmeter is accurate, it agrees with my hand-held digital meter.

Yes, especially if there are underdrive pulleys installed.

If it's over 12 volts the Alt. is working otherwise your running off the battery. Mine has dropped into the 12's at red lights since new with different alt's and battery's installed. Upgrading the wiring would no doubt help but I never cared to bother.
