is there any way to take off the buttons. the code is only working intermittintly im thinking the contacts are worn out. its on my wifes 03 cv

Yes, the keypad comes off, it's secured from the inside so the door panel has to come off. Mine is acting up... buttons work intermittently and some of the buttons do not light up. Will be taking mine apart to look at it.

Be cool to replace it with a LED light bridge to light of door handle!

I'll add a waterproof LED panel to the door handle to light up when you hit the unlock.
