Hello new member here out of Los Angeles, I've had several fords, mostly mustangs and a few panthers. Here are some introduction photographs of my current ride, not a Marauder but hopefully one day I will be a proud owner of one.

Thank you guys, can't take all the credit, car was somewhat modded when I purchased then made a few changes myself. Just added some CV tails the other day however car won't stay as is for long, it looks good but it's impractical. Looking to replace the wheels with a set of fanblades as the current wheels rub and this is a daily driver.

Get a new pair of coils for the front and cut half a coil off and the fronts should be good. Unless you mean rubbing something else.

thanks for the suggestion, that's exactly what I was thinking! Problem is actually worse in the back, fender lips were cut however I still rub, I can't have passengers back there and even by myself I still get an occasional rub from time to time. Rears are 18x10, thinking of doing 18x9/9.5 squared in the future, hence the temporary fanblade wheels.

If you can't get a Marauder, perhaps the self leveling air bag setup could be put in. Not sure, I'm new to the Marauder. One thing I love is how the Marauder will keep it's ass right where you have it set. I'm planning on going wider in the rear and I don't think I could with standard coils back there. Hope you can figure it out. Those wheels look real nice on there.

Welcome to the forums from across the pond! Tastefully modified car you have there, I will say the 98-02 GMQ front clip is still my favourite of the whole Panther range!

what size rear tire and is there a spacer being used? a lot of rims required a spacer for the 98-02 cv, marquis.

I can't remember off the top of my head but I believe rears are 265/40/18 with 1.5in spacers, I'll confirm tomorrow as I will be test fitting the18in fanblades. Contact is happening at the rear fenders, the fender is acting as a cheese grater on my tires lol. I guess I have a few options such as getting different size tires or smaller spacers

If you change a spacer, you have to use hubcentric spacers, so the spacer is centered by the hub. I think fanblades may help though

I always liked fan blade rims on panthers. I like them better than bullits

I wasn't sure about the wheels at first, almost took them off immediately however they are now starting to grow on me and the best part is no more rubbing!

You should be able to find some mercury centers so you can ditch the mustang ones..not sure of size required.

Nice Grand Marquis. I had a silver 2001 just like that one. I did true duals a K&N IBM the stock box filter. A set of MSD coil packs. And killer sound system. There great cars. Now I have a 04 clean low mileage Mercury Marauder. But that is a nice Grand Marquis.

is that the factory color? I would assume so but it seems to pop a little more . Between that, the blades (which I think also look nicer in silver on yours) and the tasteful amount of blackout and tint she almost looks factory like a marauder precursor. love it man welcome from another pretty new member. Great bunch of people on here.

Thanks for the welcome guys, appreciate the feedback. Def factory paint, FL Toreador Red to be exact. Funny you say that, I've had people ask me if it was a marauder, my response "I wish!"
