I have been a member of this site since October of 2008. I had just turned 17 when I became a member. It took me over seven years, but I finally own the car I have been dreaming of. This should come as a relief to members who I bother asking about fair prices for Marauders for sale :D
My new to me Marauder is a 2003 with 150,000 miles. Runs and drives really nice and smooth. Interior is in very nice condition and the only real issue is the car needs a good detail and a PO swapped to coils in the rear. Stock other than a K&N CAI. Clean title as well. I paid $4750 which I think is a great deal in my book!
I towed the car home since I won't register it until the spring.
I will have more pics eventually, but here's one from towing it home:

I am beyond happy to finally have a Marauder, it means a lot to me!

Enjoy it, I have had mine since June 2002 and have really enjoyed driving it.
Why do you want to swap air bags for coils? I have had no problems with air bags and handling/ride is great.

PO (previous owner) did the swap
Hope they left the rest of the air ride stuff so you can swap back
Congrats

Indeed, the damage is already done. I will find what's missing and make it air ride again.

Thank you all! I looked at so many Marauders and spent countless hours thinking about how to buy one. I remember sitting on the couch when I was 16 reading the Wikipedia page on the Mercury Marauder in my parent's living room, I wanted one so bad! I worked hard to save up the money for one (While also buying a house in October, and getting married in November) and I can say that I am doing pretty damn good right now! The car whose picture is still hanging on the wall in my childhood bedroom, now sits in my driveway :)

Congrats on the your new MM, it's not your grandpa's crown Vic. Now you know the difference and why we are so hooked on this car. Enjoy the MM for 2016.

Clean looking ride, those headlights could use a polish but apart from that it looks a lot better than mine, especially since those wheels apparently got no curb rash on them.

I've been hooked for quite some time, just took awhile to find mine!

Yes the headlights definitely need some attention. Overall it's a very straight car but not perfect by any means. One of the wheels looks to have a little rash, I picked a nice one to take a pic of! Lol

My wheels are really terrible, maneuvering this massive barge around our tiny little European side streets and town centres does take its toll on the wheels and you can't even avoid it sometimes.
Technically this car is too big for this country, doesn't stop me from driving and enjoying it here though, just having to get the wheels refurbished at some point.

You should find a nice set just to put away, that way you don't have to worry about your current ones as much
