New Guy here, just picked up an 03 black with 64k, currently living in NJ by Philly but from all over the place with the job orginally from the midwest. Been looking through this sit, lots of good info. Up next new shoes for her and getting a tune. Car is totally stock

Welcome and congrats!! Recommend Mo's speed shop tune, from the vendors list, member name martyo. Tires can be anything from Nitto, to Cooper, to Firestone to Hankooks, Toyo etc.. post up if you have questions about sizing and don't find it thru searching. generally better results to use google to search for example "tire sizes mercurymarauder.net" then to use the search function here

Welcome to this site

I highly suggest you research tire sizes before buying the wrong ones, tune from Marty and a cold air kit

Enjoy it :)

Welcome. I'm a "new" Marauder owner as well. You will love this car. These people have been helpful with some tire questions I've had too. Mine came on winter tires, so I'm looking for an all season, or summer set for spring.

thanks for the welcome, I have the tires narrowed down to the coopers and firestones right now. Will be contacting Mo for the info. From what I have read everyone is pretty happy with the results. Love the car had a nice crown vic as a highway car and this is definetly quicker. Now for Mo's speed shop does he sell the device as well or do I need to purchase that before hand.

Mo's sells the device with tune ready to go. And customer service that goes beyond 8-5He e-mails you a questionnaire asking how you like this or that, mods etc. Give him a call he is easy to talk to. Just the change in the trans schedule is worth the price of the tune.

^this, x a million.
the new XCAL tuner is simple, and priced with tuning from Marty = a bargain!
Next best mod you can do is a SS brake line set from TCE, a vendor here.
Huge improvement in braking response and feel. Compliments the weight of the car and how fast it goes ;)
Welcome, and we are only 3 hours apart - a spring meet up is in order!

Welcome abroad, warning when you get the tune from Martyo, you are going to think you have a new car. You thought the car was fast now, ha, wait for the experience after the tune. Customer service is amazing.

Welcome!! Start with gears and a tune if you want the biggest improvement. The 4.10's, underdrive pulley, and Lidio tune on my '04 makes it feel 1,000lbs lighter.

This is an important question if you do come to Carlisle:

Do you drink Sangria? I have to know whether I should bring two or three gallons.

The hill crew usually knocks off two gallons..... my treat to the gang.

In reference to the tires, I have the firestones, stock sizes, so far am happy, only about 1500 miles on them, so its too soon to say if they are better than others.

Better bring 5 gallons. By the time I was ready for a cup(around 10:30am) what you brought was gone. :depress:

You need a longer straw. Then you don't have to get out of your chair to get the Sangria.
