They are finally here!!! My latest project with CJ are now installed on our Kenny Brown #8, bling bling!
:bounce: Polished Aluminium Door Sill Covers!! :bounce:
These cover the existing OEM plastic door sills. There are two pieces for each door. They attach with 3M double sided tape that is provided. They were very easy to install and no tools were required. There are very high quality, just like the pedals, with deep groove lettering.
You can get a 4 piece set for the front doors or an 8 piece set for all four doors. I will be posting the group price tomorrow.

The aluminum door sills look great, and they look like they fit perfectly over the original sill, but I have one concern....."how thick are the new sills" because if they suppose to go directly over the original ones, I don't have much clearance there as is.
I checked the clearance out while in the car and, opening / closing the door to feel the clearance and I might have about a 1/8" gap if that much. :(
LadyHawke, how is the fit on Haggis car ? Does it rub any ? Thanks.

Carlos, I also was concerned about clearance when I saw them. No worries though the new door sills fit fine between the door and door sill.

Ok, we will adopt you, but seeing how good your present parents are raising you. We are going to let them continue to take care you, be financial responsible for you and be your legal guardians. Wow. I was looking at an 04 Grand Marquis on a dealer's showroom the other day, and they have "Grand Marquis" on their door sills. I thought "Man, somebody needs to come up with a Marauder door sill."
I was even thinking of checking with that Gator Glass guy, because I've seen Mercedes door sills that illuminate the name of the car.
But these will do!! Nice.
Order placed! 4 sills in my hands in about 2 weeks:banana2:

Wow! I'm glad to see these.
One of the 2003 Grand Marquis (Limited Edition?) has aluminum step plates. About a year ago I suggested the Marauder should as well, but many people said it would be too much "Marauder", it also being on the floor mat.
I think these prove that's wrong. They look just like what Ford should have done in the first place!

Good idea Slowpoke. Someone on the Firehawk site said he used a small brush and model paint to fill in the letters on his polished pedals. Don't see why it wouldn't work for the door sills too.

I recieved mine, installed them last night. They look great! Now, i want more bling bling inside of my car.
Honestly, i dont think they are too bling, just a little. It makes my car a little more different.
And thats the reason i bought the marauder instead of some other (cookie cutter) car.

Well i just experienced my first problem with the top peice(marauder)on passenger side.when i got them i cleaned of everything with windex and dried it properly then stuck em on w/ pressure. everything good so far , oh and allways say when going in and out of car "DON"T STEP ON THEM!!!!".as the story goes on my wife (marauderpeg) usesthe car w/ her friend and as the friend reaches in to put her pocketbook on the floor and then get in , it hits the top piece and it falls off effortlessly.they holler for me to look at it i go out and put it back on and it can be pulled off w/o any real effort.so what do i do about it?????? :bows: ???

Hey Mark, sorry to hear about your dilemma. You could try a couple of things. First, buy some additional 3M double sided tape to reaffix the sill. Once the sill came off the tape lost its adhesive. Second, buy some Appoxy or RVT to cover the surface and then place the sill. The RVT will give more play to work the sill into place. The Appoxy will be more permanent. So if you would really want to take the door sills off one day, it would be more work.
Again sorry to hear, just bad luck I guess. We've had numerous people jumping in and out of the back side and they have been okay.
Also if you tried to call tonight, sorry I was online. We are going to White Marsh on Saturday around 4-5:30pm, thought you might want to get together afterward. Give Gordon a call if you are interested.
