1.5 cubes under the rear deck is small. His enclosure looks awesome and I would love to hear it. Sealed enclosures have a pretty flat response which is great for an average listener. I was able to get almost 3 cubes under the rear deck without modification in my setup which is two 8's vented. It is all a matter of what you are trying to accomplish. There are many different ways to make noise. :)

Yes, it's my car. I built all of it. I was a master installer at a high-end shop and my Marauder pretty much was used as a demo vehicle for shows and events. All the buildouts are cabinet grade high density Trupan. All the bare wood is painted and the interior of the enclosure as well to minimize "breathing". All the speakers and amps are JL Audio. the amps are 300/4 and 500/1. The source units are Eclipse with DVD/NAV, CD changer and iPod. The floor lifts up to conceal my spare tire and some tools.

Sounds nice. Any photos or videos? I am looking to do my stereo soon. I loved the old Eclipse HU I had years ago (Early 90s). Haven't heard much about Eclipse lately. Big fan of JL subs. I prefer the tightness of a sealed box. I like a hard hit on stuff like the bass drum on "Nothing else matters". I listen mostly to oldies from the 60s to the 80s, but dabble in Jazz, and Classical. Love to freak kids out when I'm blasting "Phantom of the opera". I had a 10" Stealthbox in the center console of my old truck, great sound and I had it under powered. Have never tried JLs other speakers, but have been looking at them online. Visiting a couple stereo shops after lunch. I did all my own in the past, but I'm disabled now and now able to twist my body around to do decent work these days, Going for my first pro install.

I sold this in 2012 to a collector but JUST bought it back. This Saturday I am flying to Columbus, Ga to drive it home. He had it garaged and covered for 4 years and only added 2700 miles. Here's the YouTube video I made to accompany the eBay auction. The stereo is shown as is the 2DIN head. I have still pics at home of the trunk floor removed. Here is how the build began. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUdINf7wosI
