I have had my TCE Preformance Front and rear braided brakes hoses. For a couple of weeks already. I haven't put them on yet. For FedEx just dropped off my Hawk Preformance slotted and cross drilled rotors. Part Numbers HFHR4042 and HFHR4043. I paid $462.60 and change for them. I bought them for Autopartwarehouse.com And $100 bucks for the front Hawk Carbon Ceramic brake pads. And $75 bucks for the rear Hawk Carbon Ceramic brake pads. And since I paid that number for the rotors. They gave me $30 off the Hawk pads. So I them front and back for $143 with shipping. But I so far have the rotors and the brake lines. For the pads are on back order. But I will have them early next week hopefully. And going to bolt it all on. My car has slotted and cross drilled rotos. But I changed the pads. And it sounds mad nasty. When you push on the brakes. Once they warm up. So I got all this to have it shut up. And maybe stop alot better. I would recommend you guys to checkout autopartswarehouse.com. They have a great point program. Also alot of good parts. At very good prices. And as you buy. Depending on how much $$ you buy. You will get $20 $30 or $40 and up off your next order.

For what you paid you could have bought Jerry's big brake kit , and had a 100% better setup!

That is what I wanted MOTOWN. I am happy with what I got. It should stop 40% to 50% better then now. Plus I don't need big oversized brakes. I don't really drive my car that bad. Or much at all. Thanks alot. But I am good.

40% to 50% better aint happening, i had the same setup you just bought , yes it stops better , but not 40% -50% better by no stretch of the imagination! The big brake kit is the way to go , but to each his own, responded to your pm.

I was thinking the same
With the big brake kit, it's gotta stop the car 10-20 feet shorter from 60mph
Think of it this way, if the car stops 10 feet shorter with the bigger brakes, that could save you from smashing into the car in front of you
What's the warranty cover for cracked drilled and slotted rotors?

I don't and won't do bigger brakes. I ain't running a cannon ball run. So thanks for ya'll opinion. But if I want to get bigger. I would of gone with Brembos or Baer brakes. Not Vette calipers with some other rotors. Plus I am showing them for if somebody wanted. To go the same route. Then they would find another way. But like I said. It is only Money. And this is my weekend ride. That I take out on good Sundays. Big brakes and alot more top self parts. Are what I have in my race car show car Fox Mustang. I will keep mine simple with bolt on's. Not mis matching parts. Thank you but no way.

They were only offering a better option at approximately the same price point.
Your car your money do what makes you happy
I would suggest boosting it, really wakes her up, not to race car status but enough.
I also run one of my cars on stock brakes and they work fine for normal driving. Although the next time she needs pads (see what I did there) she will be getting maxi's :D

So those Vette Calipers and Rotors goes for $605 bucks. What I have spent for my rotors and Pads ? So where is it at. I will return these. But those and wait for my money to be refunded. So where are they at ?

Some people just want the drilled rotors because they look cool. Never mind that they only create a weak spot in the rotor... My brakes are good for now. Stock, but good. When it comes time to redo them, pretty sure I'll be going with the big rotor/Corvette caliper upgrade. Better stopping is good in a track car, and it's safer in a street car. The way I see it only the bracket and brake line are special parts. Rotors and calipers may be from different cars, but they are easy enough to find at most parts stores.

Baer and Brembo does not make brakes for these cars, Baer used to,but long discontinued. We know nothing because we have had Marauders for way longer than 10,000 original miles.

I paid $199 for (4) drilled/slotted rotors and all pads from eBay going on six years ago-50,000 + miles and not a single crack or warp.
Finally put a new set of pads on last year due to getting brittle and the rotors probably have one year left in them before they are out of spec on width..
I already bought Zacks/Jerry's brackets and all new stainless lines as these could both go away forever. In just waiting till I'm in need, bored enough, or need space on the to do shelf.

I did the exact same things - $199 ebay rotors/pads/Zacks bracket/SS line set - but don't have as many miles on my ebay set up yet ;)

It is true, stock replacement parts will stop like stock brakes. You just can't get much improvement if you're using the same parts. Slotted and drilled don't do anything to stop you faster unless you're getting them hot enough to outgas the pads.
There is a reason for so much discussion about brakes. Mercury made the car faster, but did nothing to help the marginal stopping power. Which is even more marginal the faster you go.
If you have not driven a car with fixed caliper brakes you could not know the difference, and how big a deal it is. "I ain't running a cannon ball run", LOL. People have been putting race car parts on street cars since the automobile was invented. Done right it works very well.
I have to agree with your take on the Zack/LJ kit rotor. I don't like that the bore is too small to center on the hub, and I don't believe in hand-grinding a part that is supposed to be concentric with the hub. Of course, one could come up with a two-piece hat and rotor that would do the job and lighten up the suspension. But at that point you may as well go with the Aero6 Wilwood kit.
In the end it is your decision how to spend your car dollars. But don't pretend that better brakes aren't a huge improvement to these cars. If you ever get a chance to drive a Marauder with real brakes you wouldn't dismiss the upgrade with statements like "I ain't running a cannon ball run".

Yeah, talking about useless brake upgrades never having driven them.

JustBob and Cheif455 I was going to get a set off Ebay. Just that I didn't want to take a chance. And put on a set. And they would do what mine are doing now. I have Slotted and cross drilled rotors but I changed the pads. And they sound hideous when the pads get hot. And since I don't want to do crazy mods. I went with the Hawk set up. And TCE Preformance Front and rear braided brakes hoses. But had I known you guys were running them. Problem free I would of went with them. But I am fine with what I got.

I bought mine off EBay too. Got a write up on here somewhere. No issue except for the cold squeak on start. Replaced with MotorCraft pads and all is well
