It's lightening and thundering outside now so that keeps me indoors for a awhile.

There are three main areas to upgrade on the Marauder. Suspension, appearance and power train.

You asked about the power train. That's also consists of three main areas: engine, transmission and differential.

Important Note: "Bang for the Buck" or plan before you spend.

The differential is usually upgraded with 4:10 gears.

The transmission is usually upgraded with a higher stall speed converter and/or the J-mod.

The engine upgrades usually start with a tune (Dyno or Canned), headers (KooKs or Stainless Works) and bolt-on's such as a supercharger. (there, I said it, go straight to the source of power. By pass CAI, under-drive pulley's, mufflers and other nit-noy items that really don't add much to power).

Check with your states emission laws so you don't have to reverse what you changed.

You are only 244 miles from Mo's speed shop, the south's foremost authority on Marauder performance. Make a day trip and consult with Marty, Mo's shop owner, before you jump off the cliff (call first).

Cheers,

Pat

keeping the stock motor, ADTR.net is your best bet. if you want to piece an eaton swap together then there is a list of parts needed in the power adder section. there are no off the shelf plug n play supercharger kits for these cars except for adtr.net
stock motor 400-425 rwhp safest
how big of budget?
$5-7k, 400-450 rwhp
$10-12k, 500
and up

Base price on that kit is 6400.00

Cheaper just to buy a supercharged marauder already built and get the car for free!!

forged pistons and rods, Trilogy motorsports blower (which made 250 Marauder kits and are sold out, not making more) 2.8 pulley, fuel pump, boosta pump, injectors, headers, dynotech driveshaft..it's a safe tune, it could be more. I'm considering going to bigger blower, injectors etc.. and go to 550. will need to update trans some for that amount as well.

But there are members on here that have 600, 700 + rwhp, but you need large bank account for that pretty much and or a lot of know how so labor costs are reduced

If he upgrades the blower head unit, that's just 1 piece of 50 you will need

Did you ever find the list of items needed for the swap?

eBay
Svtperformance
Mm.net
Those are all pretty decent places to find eaton swap parts, might have a look at the parts for sale section, or put up a want to buy ad and have a running list people can help you find all the parts
You could piece the kit together with new injectors and a tune for less than 5500.00

Go read the forced induction section :)

\Member Jerry (lji372) presently makes a stainless crossover tube for eaton swaps and the brackets..Gortch no longer is making.

We should update that sticky since gortch is gone and jerry stepped in for the time being..at some point when sales stop, they may stop as well.

I can't remember off the top of my head what the shelbys used for a blower, but it may be too much for the stock motor as is. Our motors have garbage guts compared to the same year Cobras.

Word on the street seems like 8lbs of boost/400 odd horsepower on a stock bottom end is about as much as you want to go IIRC. A lot of guys seem to do the Eaton 112 swap with a lot of success.

gt500 blowers are m122. and there may be clearance issues af wiper cowl plus they were for a 5.4 or a 5.8 motor.

eaton m112 you need, will have to relocate battery. eaton 112 is passenger side intake.

there is alot of work involved, if you want plug n play go adtr.net

That. Unfortunately I'm one of those "more money than time" people (don't ever work 12hr. Nights if you can avoid it) & I've been eyeballing the ADTR vortech kit. Always wanted to do the Eaton swap, but tracking down allllll of the parts + finding a tuner where I am is out of my reach at the moment.

Seems like the ADTR kit includes absolutely everything other than manpower to put together.

you need to make sure your wants, budget, install, tuning before you start buying parts. you want a roots blower like eaton m112, or a vortech centri style. you want used or brand spanking new stuff. its a eaton m112 for a cobra mustang , not sure of years. either 03,04 or maybe 1998 up, i dont know myself. you should research both types of supercharger types.
