For those of you who sold a trunk organizer, how much was shipping?
I was just quoted just shy of $300 to ship from AZ to CA By my local UPS store.

It's considered oversize for UPS..the 108" girth rule probably, and if he had them quote to box it, pad it etc..that gets costly. It's a big piece. Shipping for a underhood liner is over $100 because it cant be folded so it ships in a huge box.

The ups stores here as high

Do you have a local ups hub (not the store) to try for a better price?

Might try the hub for a realistic price, mine is much cheaper than those franchise stores

Try USPS at a Post Office.

But will USPS package it?

put it on a pallet, put a note on top that reads "DO NOT STACK" shrink wrap it and send it on a truck.

I think it is too big for USPS. If you find a good box, Greyhound will do it cheap but you have to take it to terminal and they have to pick it up at terminal, often appliance stores have plenty of large boxes they would prolly give away.

Unfortunately usps has a maximum of 108 inches

Length + width+ girth

That organizer would be 3 times their maximum allowed shipment

Hope that helps

never happen - it's not a flat rate box.

Mike M,

Please investigate.

I'm confused.
You posted an urgent A.P.B. - will pay top $$ for mint organizer.
A guy steps up and says I have one - now you want HIM to spend time finding the best shipping method/cost for you too?

get the weight and dims. research it yourself. Offer Mike some options.
I'f he'll spend the time to pack or pallet it, deliver to a freight terminal, and sell you what you asked for at a good price - seller has exceeded expectations to me. Asking him to do everything is looking to have him just say forget it.

good luck, I hope you find one, right in your town, they will deliver to your house.

This is inaccurate. Once the shipping issue became complicated, we agreed to stop the transaction. It helps if you ask for information versus assuming.

I am sorry that for you, shipping got complicated. And that you have zero tolerence for anything but any answer or solution that you wanted to read.
That seems consistent within your threads.
I'll refrain from posting any suggestions or commenting in your threads, it has proven to be not worth typing anyway.

"What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."

This issue has nothing to do with my tolerance. You are judgmental and insulting in your comments. I like your plan to ignore my posts. I have asked numerous times, if you cannot be respectful, your input is not needed.

I appreciate the investigation. At this point, it requires too much of Mike to find reasonable priced shipping from Az to me. I thanked Mike for his help and we agreed to cancel the buy - my loss.

Mike put effort into trying to find an affordable shipping method. I respected his decision to stop and return the $500.00. If Mike wants to pursue LTL, I will gladly offer the monies again. I would even add extra $ for his time. I respect Mike having the choice - is it worth the effort to him.

I sincerely appreciate your sharing LFL rates. I am sure there is something I will need to buy in the future what will benefit from the LTL information.

When I do find a trunk organizer, I plan to donate my parts to one of our members local to my area (already contacted the individual).
