I have been having some noise from my air pump. I have a new one here ready. Today, I had turned it off to jack the car up to install a real oil gauge. I was done, lowered it, and turned the air ride back on from the trunk. Now it's not working. Is it just coincidence it died when turning it off, or is there something I should check before swapping the pump. It's a bad weekend for me personally to be out in the shop, but I'll get up super early and do it if need be.
Thanks

Better for it to die at home versus driving on the freeway, and the car falls on the tires like a low riding jumping bean.
Check leveling sensor arm underneath the car, make sure it's still connected after jacking up the car and dropping the differential down. It's a compression type ball socket, the ball does wear and it can pop off.

That's what I'm looking for, thanks
Pic is from the Internet and looks something like this. Passenger side if I remember correctly. Good luck.

What pump did you buy?

I bought a low mileage Ford piece from a user on here last month when it started making noise. I'm tight. ;)

Save the old pump anyway. I recently went through troubles with my air pump, and managed to get the old one I saved long ago working again.
How? By removing the 4 screws holding the motor can to the pump casting and working the can loose from the casting - with the can rotating freely relative to the casting, I screwed it back together and it came to life again. The dang corrosion of the cast aluminum pushed the motor spindle out of alignment from the pump itself, leading to the seized pump. Removing the corrosion got things back in line.
