I live in western WI and i'm looking for a good shop to do 4:10 gears in my MM. Is there any shop around the cities?

Any shops that do mustang mods or a mustang club would be a good place to look. You'll need a tune for the 4.10 as well

You might as well replace the bearing, seal, etc. while you or someone else is in there. I'd look at getting a better cover with the bearing supports and replace the bearing cap bolts with studs. Also get synthetic 75w/140 gear oil and be prepared to replace the clutches if they are bad.

This is a common rear end. The Ford 8.8 is in almost everything so any performance shop could do it. Replace ALL the seals and bearings while it's apart.

I guess if I want to do it, I will have to drive a couple hours.

I live in Rosemount, MN and I had Master Transmission in Rosemount install my 4.10's. I often see muscle cars parked in their parking lot, so that tells me they are a trusted shop.

Apple Valley Ford will also do gear changes, but at a much higher price.
