OK, I know how to bolt an enclosure down, but my selected location is tricky. I want to put my sub on the shelf below the rear deck. (After I remove the factory box.) My concern is the gas tank is below that hump. Is there enough room under there to use self tapping screws? Who has a sub box there and how is it mounted? My last car sub in a Panther platform car was mounted on the left shelf of the trunk in front of the fuel shutoff. Easy location, but in the way.

Yes... very short self tapping screws.

Pull the rear seats and mount the back of the box to the metal structure where your back would rest against
All you would need is a few L brackets from Home Depot
Plus you get to find 13 years of random **** under the back seat

No mounts here. I built it tight! It never moves at all. [emoji1303]

Mine is glued down with construction adhesive to the bare sheetmetal. It also prevents unwanted vibration.

Nice idea. Reminds me of a track (M113) I had at my first unit. We glues a strip of plywood to the ceiling inside with Liquid Nails so we could screw lights to it. It was still there when I left 2 years later. (and two years of vibrations in an M113 is a lot)
