I did this 10 years ago and now I've forgotten how I did it..:(
How do I remove the rear rubber covering on the rear of the housing that covers the lamp?
If I remember correctly... then the lamp can be popped out and the new one installed...
Would it be easier to remove the headlight assembly..? lt looks like four screws at the rear removed and then the assembly pulls out the front...
I know I didn't do that last time...
All suggestions and information most appreciated..:bows:

I did mine right before Marauderville -- and I recall it being very tight. AS I also replaced my battery-- I had it out which helped a lot on that side.
NOT AN EXPERT HERE
If I remember, I removed the top black plastic beauty plate that goes all the way across front of car. Being careful, as to remove it you have to elevate either the front or back of it (I was cautious of the paint--but I am a ninny) to get it off/over the latch mechanism. As it is long, it can touch visible paint at the sides if not careful when removing.
I started on the side that had more room. If I remember correctly, the back of the light housing turns 1/2 turn to 1 turn or so and "unlocks."
Once the outer seal was released, the inner seal was basically the same, blind reach in, 1/2 turn, plug /entire stopper comes out in hand. Being a contortionist helps as the area is "tight".
I wore nitrole gloves; recall that you cannot touch the new lamp with your skin (or anything else) as the oil from your skin will "cook" on the lamp and shorten its life dramatically. I Used a side table so the new lamps were protected from me and everything else. I also had some alcohol pads ready to clean the new bulbs, if I needed them. Once the inner plug was out and visible, I Replaced the new lamp and reinstalled the inner plug in one motion, so the new bulb was not exposed for very long at all (hanging, or touching anything).
I did one lamp at a time, and while the first movement of the back turning was a real pain (mine had never been opened), after that it was easy. I did clean the outer housing inside seal a little before reinstalling them as well.

Again, the driver's side was "tight"

If you loosen up the corner lamps via the two 10mm(or so) bolts, the headlight should slide right out with some angling.

If you do touch the bulb with your bare skin, some rubbing alcohol will remove the oils. Let the alcohol dry before installing.

Which would you suggest..? remove head lamp assembly by loosening side marker lamp assembly and remove out the front of the car OR change lamps from rear..?
If I go in from rear how do I remove the rubber cover to get to the back of the lamp..?
Thanks, Architect

I've always found it easiest to remove the grill first. Then you can remove the headlamp bolts on top and slide it right out
Can't stop the signal...

The only way to change them is to take out the housings...............
