Is there anyone in the Chicagoland area that knows how to install these units? Any guidance is sincerely appreciated!
Do you have the fittings and hose yet?

Hello Sir,
Please pardon my reaching out directly, although I noticed you mentioned you have the ON3 Crossover delete kit installed on your Mercury Marauder and I was wondering if you knew what kit I need to order by chance. The 1 temp sensor package or the 2 temp sensor package. My coolant bypass pipe is leaking and I'm told this kit will replace the system. My mechanic had some additional questions on the lower water outlet housing, if there is a radiator hose and if the sensors are located on the cylinder head. Any guidance on how to order / install this kit is greatly appreciated, thanks.

You need the two sensor kit , you cut your upper radiator hose , and install the thermostat housing to the shortened hose , the sensors are located in the water fittings that attach to the water outlets on the heads.

Yes the 2 sensor kit, even if you unhook the temp sensor for the gauge cluster. You can use it to run an aftermarket gauge to get a more accurate reading.

I've been in touch with an awesome mechanic / enthusiast that On3 referred me to, and he posed this question. He hasn't installed these kits on Marauders, just mustangs as I understand

The kit is simple to install, the lower radiator hose goes to the coolant outlet on the drivers side of the block.

see on the 4v mustang i have to swap to the 2v lower outlet neck that comes off the block. and since we do it for the turbo kits etc, the factory t stat gets deleted, we run the 2v lower outlet housing and 2v lower rad hose as seen in the link i posted above

As you know the lower radiator hose goes to coolant outlet on the drivers side of the block, the oem thermostat, and lines are deleted, the only lines you will have are a single lower radiator hose, and the upper radiator hose connected to the on3performance thermostat housing, and of course the 2 lines going to the water fittings , i had posted pictures of my install but i can't find em.

OP if you use a Mustang GT lower radiator hose you should be all set. It has a tee in it which attaches to the coolant reservoir.

How does this crossover delete kit compare to lji372s revised crossover tube? At first glance I notice this kit has considerably smaller hoses, although I guess combined they are close to the cross section of a single radiator hose.

Usually someone installs an ON3 kit for space reasons. Or because a crossover tube will not work with a particular setup.

Two different setups Jerrys Xtube is stainless steel, for an Eaton/whipple type s/c , the Xover delete ,braided lines, fittings will fit any setup.

Where did you get the little piece of pipe on the right side, I'm looking for something just like that for mine. Also what is that on the reservoir hose some kind of plug or fitting?

I ordered it from Treadstone , you can get various degrees of bends , that piece is aluminum , the brass reducer on the left came from home depot.

Just overfill the overflow and it takes care of itself.

Huh. I would have thought it needed some kind of bleeder to release the air during filling, like the GM 3.1L V6. Guess I was mistaken.
