My 2004 DTR went to the shop for airbag light. Turns out had two issues, one was in the driver's side seat. That was corrected. However, second issue is the RCM part number 4W73-14B321-BA. It shows bad. Dealer can replace for $$. I've seen where these modules can be sent in to be reset/repaired for a nominal fee.

You can't just buy another one as it has to be flashed with "vehicle specific" code at dealership.

My question is, has anybody on here sent theirs in for repair/reset? Can anyone recommend a good company to use?

Thanks,

I took my car to the dealer to be reset after I swapped a few components after a crash.

They (my friend who is VERY smart) used the normal procedures and it could not be done.

If you succeed, let us know how it was accomplished.

I was told by someone else, that the air bag module needs to be matched to the seat sensors.
Programming the unlike components to work with each other is not an option.Again, thats what I was told.

I had same problem in 2008. Costly fix.
