You possibly have a freon leak, check for oily coatings on all parts if AC system. A lot if times one needs a new dryer as well

Run the EATC self test.

Code 24 in the eatc is in your future. Temp control actuator in the dash is stuck on full hot in the dash. 4 hour job at the shop. My DBP did the same thing last weekend. Guess what I am doing tomorrow....... Yay

Run the EATC self test.
If it is the Blend Door Actuator, the part is about $75.00, labor is alot.
Only use a Motorcraft part as aftermarket parts tend to fail early and often.

Blend Door Actuator.
Try running the self tests a few times, sometimes it will make the Blend Door Actuator work...... for awhile.

Someone here recently said to run the test 5 times in a row, this might free up the blend door
What do you have to lose, try it out.

9X's out of 10 it's the Blend Door Actuator. I've never heard of a bad blend door.

Mode door is more common. We have done them at work several times in CV's and GM's. Have to replace the entire heater box behind the dash.
I hope 9x out of 10 applies this time. It's usually the other way around for me :)

NEVER add additive or magical stop leak. It turns to syrup and gums up the system. A leaking valve in my customers 2500HD Silverado wound up being a $2200 repair because he poured stop leak in until the compressor locked up.

Purist will not like this, but buy a $20 manual valve, 5/8 I believe, this will enable you to cut off hot coolant flow to the heater core.
I have 3Ford cars, all have this valve. lot quicker and easier.

About 2 or 2.5 hours cheating not pulling the dash doing the temp blend door actuator. The gear was stripped out in mine. Replaced gear from another used part I had and put back in. Zero given, Im cheap.

How do you regulate the hot and cold air? Looks like your way is either hot or cold... nothing in between.

Tear apart pass side dash, then you can barely get to the screws
It helps if you have trump hands

If you cancel the EATC test half way in(press the colder blue button), sometimes will leave the door stuck in the opposite position. I did this successfully for about a year until I got tired of the poverty setup and finally fixed it.

If the gear is stripped the door doesn't move
Make a decision on Louisville?

Didn't check mine but would click behind the dash sometimes. I figured the gear was stripped, but sometimes would grab during the test?
Not sure, I have a high priority 2 week job in Savannah which the date isn't confirmed but around that time. If pushed back, I might just hop in the car last minute and head down.
