Sorry for all the post but I'm new too this. I recently put 4.10s in, after they were broke in, I tried too do a burnout an only one tire spent. So I asked the guy did he put the locker back in and he said yes. So then I used the SCT Tuner too turn the Traction Control off. My question is, is there something wrong? Or Are these cars suppose to spin both of them with the traction control on? Or should they spin with it off?

you can spin both of them but with the traction control off & O/D off.:burnout:

Apparently your posi unit should have been rebuilt too

A decent mechanic would have noticed the friction pads were loose and worn out

Take it back

I never heard of SCT unit being able to turn traction control off. Always have to turn dash button off unless an 03 and no traction control. Did you get a new tune for the 4.10's ? The stock tune is for. 3.55 and it will shift odd without a new tune . SCT canned tunes are junk. Get a real tune

Right now I'm on some strategy tune. I'm waiting for Marty too send mines. An yes I changed the gear ratio too 4.10s. One I turned the traction control off with the SCT, it spun them immediately. But aren't they suppose to spin with them on?

Good, you got a Marty tune on the way. No, traction control will not spin the tires with it ON..traction control is to prevent wheel slippage, it must be OFF and WOT (wide Open Throttle) blasts should be done with overdrive OFF.

On the WOT what exactly is that?

Just like I wrote..WOT = Wide Open Throttle..the gas pedal mashed to the floor..burn outs, high speed runs from a stop etc/, drag racing..

You can turn traction control off, but all the dash lights will be illuminated

I would never go into a rear end for gears, bearings, or other maintenance without putting in new clutches while it's apart.

Mines is an 03 so no light. An it's turned off with the SCT Tuner

What do you mean so no light?

Do you have a button on the dash for traction control?

03 didn't have traction control anyway, should be no need to turn off.

Try mashing the throttle vs slowly increasing.

Sorry I was confused, until I talked too Marty and he made it to where I understood exactly what was going on. What it was, was that my clutches are start to go bad(if not already are). So I wasn't able too burn them on cold start. Also the reason I was able too burn them 10 minutes later was because the clutches had heated up

I'll agree with this ^^^
