Whao! You're getting WAY too deep into this. Obelcz is merely trying to stir **** within the forum. Plain and simple. GM would and could never pay off Ford to pursuade them in their production. They work great...I can keep the window open 3-4" in the rain and not get wet...

I got mine through the customiser that did my pinstriping (they also installed them for me), but AutoZone carries them, too...they're about $60 per set of 4.
